Education Center “Uspeh”

The Independent Nonprofit Educational Organization “Education Center “Uspeh” (the Center) has been offering the opportunity to take external programmes for various categories of students since 1998.

The purpose of the Education Center is to provide a general comprehensive curriculum …

- those students who are not able to get an education at state schools due to various reasons:

1)    their psychological peculiarities which may lead to conflicts or misunderstanding with teachers or classmates;

2)    lack of time as a result of taking up sports, art, music etc.

- for those who wish to save time taking two-in-one year courses.

- for adults who didn’t have the opportunity to finish school in the past.

The Center is state accredited (N AA161345 of 13.03.2009). As such we ensure our students meet the state educational standards.

The Center provides programmes teaching both groups and individuals. The main purpose and objective of the staff is to organize the integration of external students into our school.

The groups contain up to 10 students. Small group work increases motivation and interest in the subject matter. The teacher can get to know the students better, observe how they respond to materials and activities and to diagnose learning problems and clarify misunderstanding. It also provides an opportunity for co-operative learning, for problem-based learning, for defining, exploring and solving problems and for the development of study skills.

Individual teaching is chosen by those students with an unconventional personal character, state of health or working schedule which prevents them studying in a group.

So we recommend individual teaching for people who:

- have a difficult barriers to studying or don’t feel confident while studying general subjects…

- are very busy and find it difficult to attend classes on a set timetable…

- absorb information better when face-to-face with a teacher…

Advantages of individual teaching:

- flexible (individual) timetable for education;

- individual educational program tailored to your demands, personal goals and the specifics of your material perception;

- possibility of altering the programmes

So either in groups or individually the students are given all the help and support needed at different levels of their education, age, attitude to the educational process and other specific requirements.

Our teachers have developed a diversity of programmes for individual and group teaching. They have great experience in teaching various programmes. For this reason it is always easy for a student to work with our teachers, which allows a student to quickly improve the effectiveness of their study skills. The students receive special attention and support from the teacher.

We also provide:

-        Legal Studies programmes for senior students (10th year). The Legal Studies major provides students with an opportunity to become familiar with legal ideas, legal institutions, and the legal process. It is designed to provide practical tools for the reasoned appraisal and understanding of how the law works and of the policies that underlie it.

- All school subjects are tutored. All tutoring is individualized. We empower each individual to reach his/her full academic potential by developing skills that foster self-esteem, motivation, study habits, and self-direction.

-        Language Courses (English, German, French). Different level language programmes are for those who wish to study foreign languages for work and for business, for everyday life, communication, scientific research and/or just for pleasure.

-        Business Courses (both for teenagers and adults). The course emphasizes high-potential businesses and covers issues in several disciplines, including Marketing, Entrepreneurship, Finance, Leadership, Management, Strategic Innovation and others.

-        Vocational Guidance – a guidance service based on psychological tests and interviews to find out what career or occupation may best suit students in order to expose the students to, and better prepare them for, their chosen careers.

At the moment we are working on introducing long-distance education methods on the basis of local nets and the Internet.
